Choose a broker on evidence

A broker’s suitability depends on your location, account entity, costs and the products you need. Start with our forex broker checklist. Verify the exact legal entity and its permissions on the regulator’s register, then compare total costs and withdrawal terms.

What to compare

  • Eligibility and regulation: the entity that accepts you and the rules that apply to your account.
  • Total costs: typical spreads, round-trip commission, overnight financing, conversion and account fees.
  • Platform and execution: order controls, minimum trade size, mobile usability and execution policy.
  • Account terms: margin close-out, client-money arrangements, negative balance protection where applicable, and complaints process.

Common questions

Can I learn without depositing money? Yes. Read the guides and use a provider’s demo account if appropriate. Demo trading uses simulated funds and may not reproduce live execution.

Is a regulated broker risk-free? No. Regulation and account protections do not eliminate market losses.

Which broker is best? There is no universal answer. Compare the same account type and trade scenario, and check availability and protections for your location.
